GAME RULES

Game Length & Clock

  • All games for 5th grade and up will consist of (2) 14 minute halves with a stop clock.

  • 3rd & 4th grades will be (2) 16 minute halves with a running clock. Clock will stop on free throws.

  • The clock will not stop on deadball whistle in the last 2 minutes of (2H) if the score is ten or more points.

Violations

  • 10 second backcourt violation in effect for all divisions.

  • 5 second count when a player is closely guarded in the halfcourt.

Fouls & Free Throws

  • When a team reaches 10 team fouls for the half the other team will shoot double bonus.

  • Individual players foul out if they receive (6) fouls.

Timeouts/Warmup/Halftime/Overtime

  • Teams will receive (3) full time outs per game (1) additional for OT. Timeouts unused do not carry over.

  • Each game will have a minimum of 3 minutes warmup halftime is 2 minutes.

  • OT will be 2 minutes with stop clock, if there is a 3rd OT it will be decided by sudden death, unless it is a championship game.

Pressing

  • No pressing 20 points or more 6th grade and under.

Game Ball

  • Home team provides game ball.

Tie Breaker

  • First option is head to head, if head to head can’t be determined then we go to point differential.

  • Rules that are not listed are at the discretion of the tournament.

Age and Grade Rules

9th-10-11th-12th Grade Base Only

Team 8th Grade and below are Grade Based and Year Born Based. 

(EX: Grade 8th or born in 2030. )
